Baby Grey's Nursery

Our wee one recently turned 6 months old and in honor of this milestone I thought I'd share a few pictures of his nursery. We wanted something fun, playful, clean, and bright. I love spending time in here with him; it's the perfect place for building block towers and reading stories!

Baby Rosa's Room

Rosa Jane is one special little lady (just ask her big brother Cyrus!) so how perfect that her sweet little nursery is almost as darling as she is. Mixing in some already-owned pieces, some Craigslist finds, and a few new accessories, really kept this room on-budget. I love how it turned out and I have to give huge props to Rosa's momma who took on several DIY's in order to make this happen.
This room is truly a labor of love!

Modern Makeover: Candle Sticks

I've had these brass candle sticks hanging around for awhile and I decided it was time they got some attention. While I love vintage pieces I've recently been pining after some modern trends. These candle sticks haven't gotten much use as-is so I'm hoping this jazzy transformation will inspire some fun re-decorating!

The Gratefulness Project

I am not typically one for setting resolutions at the start of the new year. I don't want to fight the other resolute gym goers for the month of January or feel guilty about the amount of time I spend scrolling Pinterest. This year, however, I decided there was something I really wanted to be better at: being grateful. I seem to get sucked into the negative all too easily and so I decided to be very deliberate about focusing on all the love and beauty and joy around me.

These are a few of the ways I'm tackling what I've dubbed, "The Gratefulness Project."

1. I have been holding on to this gorgeous thank you card for about three years because I just loved the colors. I finally found a use for it! This picture frame allows you to float something between two pieces of glass, and voila! a custom, wipe-away thank you frame that I can write on with dry erase markers. I love leaving notes for my husband to let him know that I see and appreciate all that he does.

2. These little note cards were in the dollar bins at Target. (You know the ones I'm talking about... right in the front of the store. You're barely through the door, the baby isn't even loaded into the cart, and you're already craning your neck to see what treasures they might hold.) At that price I'm going to send more handwritten notes!

3. And finally, as cliche as it may be, I am going to try having a journal in a prominent place so I can jot down some of those little things throughout the day that tend to be forgotten by the end of the day.

Sneak Peek: Nursery Design Board

One of my longest life-friends had a darling baby girl, Rosa Jane, this past November. Her momma has given me the privilege of designing her nursery and I am so excited to show you a sneak peak of the direction we are heading.  Before and after pictures coming soon!

Update: Check out photos of the finished room and find links to sources for final design elements.
